Their customer support just keeps getting worse and worse. They used to be more dependable than Doordash but now it's just as awful and navigation within the app is ridiculous. This service can barely even be called a service with the lack of accessibility it presents to its users. y'all also need to fix your "change delivery address" function. it never works, even if the user tries to change it before the order is assigned to a driver.
The app keeps changing my pick up address. When I schedule it all good. During waiting time something flips and my pick up address changes and I know this because waiting time goes crazy. From 5min to 9 to 3 and so on. When I go check pick up address I see it isn't mine. And it won't even let me input my address. This is a reoccurring problem I addressed with Uber support and no heIp. I use Uber to go to work and this is unacceptable.
UBER IS A SCAM: The app literally sets different prices for same location to destination. I booked a ride home it showed $75 so my friend booked as well for $35. So I decided to make another account to verify this and behold there was an $30 difference and I set pick-up & drop-off exact same. Also the app projects driver to be 10 minutes away but places you with a driver 20 minutes or more and charges you for cancellations if that driver isn't moving. Will not refund bad drives no matter how bad
I would rate it higher, but there's literally no way to contact anybody in their customer service department. I've tried the phone number (which leads directly to a voice mail telling me I am not eligible to be a driver because I failed a background check, then it hangs up) I've tried the chat bot (which simply repeats that it is not able to connect me with an agent) and I've tried email (which explicitly states it is only to be used by the Uber for business administrator) I'm at frustrated 😡
I liked it, okay. Until my last trip I utilized on the app. There is no way to talk to a person who runs the app. My friend sent me 20$ so I could get a ride home from my emergency room visit. Thought I had enough to tip 3$ on app. But actually, only 2.99$. Couldn't figure out how to cancel. I thought I did redo for 2.99 instead. It charged me for both. I can't figure out how to fix it with your app. I gave him the last several dollars I had before the double tip. Deleting app. Pissed. 50%tip
I'm giving two stars because you have recently re-implemented the idea of having to walk to some random location to get a shared ride to save a couple of bucks. This is not only unacceptable simply because some of us have mobility issues and can't walk to random locations, but also because a woman walking by herself late at night to some random location to save a couple of bucks faces an increased risk of getting abducted/raped as a result. Please revert back for the safety of your riders!
Just got a free month of Uber One, I've been ordering more than usual. The app is near unusable. It often fails to save my selections when I customize items, so more than once I've ended up paying for an item I just throw away. And Uber makes complaints really difficult. The most they offer is a $5 credit which never covers the cost of the item. I'm waiting now for them to credit back the rest of an order, which they may just never do and then I'm out $15. Unacceptable.
I'm not a shareride user however, I used Uber three times while in Vegas. Each driver was absolutely amazing, The app is easy to use, although I think I hit a couple of buttons once too much. The double billing was straightend out without me calling Uber. I especially like the pick up from my hotel going to the airport. That was so easy to use. Great feature.
Don't count on Uber if your ride is time sensitive. I requested ride to dealership to get my personal work vehicle. Ride was tasked to a new driver by app multiple times, delaying my arrival . When atempteing to reach out to support, I spent an hour with bots, then was redirected to website. I had to put in a request for missing item to get directed to a person who then escalated. Once escalated to a person, all they could offer was the scheduling feature. Thankfully Lyft is popular in my area.
Worst customer service ever. I was only checking prices to see what it would cost on my PC, and I all of a sudden had an account which I instantly got locked out of. Trying to restore the account I clicked on the link shown on the website and got 404 not found. I tried downloading the app and got the same thing. No way I can find to communicate with them.
Long time user. The recent insistence of the app to center focus on where I need to move to, instead of the route of the driver to pick me up is infuriating. I am sitting in the lobby because it's cold outside. I'm am in my house and need to go outside when he gets here. There needs to be some kind of threshold. This may be a setting that I have turned on (exact location) maybe. But it is not working as intended. Please fix.
The app has become worse over the years. There is no customer service - only a poorly written chat but that only understands basic issues. It won't submit a support request either. During one recent case, my pickup was was quoted at 5 minutes. After requesting, it jumped to 20 minutes. It took 35 minutes. There was no reason and no recourse. One of the worst apps ever, these days.
The uber drivers are not at fault for this review. I believe that the user interface for the app is terrible. There should be options to switch to a more convenient or faster path instead of changing the trip every other ride(when going to the same location). Also, the cost of the trip always increases afterwards so you can't trust the pre-determined cost. Overall, could be a lot better as an app.
I had good experiences with this app until recently. The drive share feature allows you to save a few bucks, which I thought was nice. However, the ETA for the driver is way off. I had requested one, ant the ride showed up roughly 10 minutes earlier than I anticipated. I was still getting ready , when it said my ride had been canceled. I got chared and had to request another ride, so it defeated me saving the money.
constantly getting correct address wrong and sending me somewhere else. Also, drivers don't end the ride, and Uber takes your money and doesn't care to return it. It makes up excuses! Lastly, but not least, drivers are disrespectful and lost, navigation wise, and scared to go off course even if it's the right move to make. Update: Uber has you at a pinpoint location or a stop, and the driver parks across from that stop, and it will say he's there but he's not and charge you extra for a late fee.
Scheduled a ride and promptly canceled it because I had scheduled it for the wrong time. I was charged a cancellation fee, which I was fine with. Uber continued to hold the rest of my money, and the charge was marked as pending from my bank. Tried going through customer support, refunded me the cancellation fee but not the rest of my money. I tried calling customer service, but an automated message told me to go to the app/website and disconnected me. Don't use Uber, they'll steal your money.
Uber has gotten so much worse than they used to be. No matter what tier you select (unless you want to shell out $100+ for Uber black) the quoted time to get to your location will end up being twice as long & of course the price to get there doesn't get lowered to reflect that. Drivers will show as 4 minutes away, but then each driver you're connected to will be 15+. Plus they mark at the pick up point, even when they're half a block away, starting the "wait fee" timer that you can't dispute.
I SHOULD cancel my subscription. I ordered food delivery and the person NEVER delivered my order or even contacted me to see if there was an issue with finding me. They labeled the order as "complete". This person didn't even take a picture of the delivery like they're supposed to, that's how I know they stole it. I tried to contact uber about it, they were talking about a 0.00 refund. I contacted paypal immediately and got my money back. I just WISH I could get the money I gave as a tip back.
Constantly overcharging, jumping prices up by 10$ or more if "rides are unavailable". Showing cars on map then saying all drivers are unavailable. Incessantly demanding ratings of the app every time I take a ride. Overall a terrible experience. Too bad the only choices for ride share are this and lyft. Yay near monopolies.
it was an absolute horrible experience. none of my Uber experiences have been particularly great. I was told I could not add a stop until after I put the destination and accepted the ride but as soon as I did that I tried to add a stop and it wouldn't let me then lay down the phone and said that was the only way you could do it was after you've requested your ride you could push the plus button and add a stop. but you couldn't add the stop if you already have a driver. ill stuck with Lyft
